A little about me: My name is Benee (pronounced like Renee). I was *basically* born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO where I met my husband when he was in the military. We moved to Savannah, Georgia and welcomed our daughter, Willow. When my husband decided on a career change, we moved to Kalispell, Montana and had our son, Wyatt. Then his company had a career opportunity open in Longview, WA so we moved here in October 2024.
I know it sounds crazy that at 5 years old I knew I wanted to be apart of peoples birth stories, but I did. I asked my mom if I could watch my sister be born at 5 years old. She taught me the basics, let me stand at her head, and I helped welcome my sister into this world. I was hooked. In high school I watched 3 babies be welcomed earth side, and was trying to figure out what career path I wanted to take where I could be apart of this special moment forever. There were lots of turns and curves getting here, but I took a college photography course and decided this is what I wanted to do.
I Photographed my first birth in 2016 and have been loving every second of it since then. I am very knowledgeable about birth and love talking about all of it! Maybe you can teach me something while we chat all things pregnancy, birth, and babies!
